Wrap-up
Recap, next month’s date, and coordinators stay after for questions.
“Most people think they need a reason to come. You don't. Just walking in and listening is enough — that's how almost everyone here started.”
You’ll be sitting with a genuinely mixed table:
- Schools & educators
- Healthcare providers
- Law enforcement
- Social service agencies
- Faith communities
- Local businesses
- Nonprofits
- Youth groups
- Families & residents
Quick answers.
Do I have to RSVP?
No. It helps us set out enough chairs, but walk-ins are always welcome. Show up whether or not you let us know first.
Is this only for members?
Not at all. Members, residents, and the just-curious sit in the same room with the same welcome. Attending is completely separate from membership.
Will I have to speak or introduce myself?
Never required. Most newcomers just listen the first time. If you’d like to say hello during the open floor, you’re welcome to — but there’s no pressure.
What if the date lands on a holiday?
On the rare month it shifts, we post the updated date on the coalition calendar and Facebook page ahead of time. When in doubt, call 219-280-5252.
Can I attend by phone or video?
Call ahead and we’ll set you up with a dial-in for that month. In-person is preferred, but we don’t want distance to keep anyone out.
